What is health coaching - and why does it work?

Health coaching is a collaborative, person-centred process that supports people gain the tools to improve nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, and long-term habits. Unlike a doctor which treats symptoms, a health coach works alongside you to support you to take leadership over your health and wellbeing.

In New Zealand, more people are turning to health coaching because they're tired of generic advice that doesn't account for their real life — their families, their schedules, and their culture. Health coaching meets you where you are.

By shifting the focus from treatment to prevention, health coaches are transforming New Zealand lives and improving health and wellbeing outcomes.

Health coaching is not typically funded by ACC or Southern Cross, though some workplace wellness plans may cover it. Many clients find the investment pays for itself through reduced sick days, better energy, and improved quality of life.
